The Carthage School District invites you to submit an RFP for providing excavation and land-clearing services on the district’s newly acquired property at 1090 E Airport. Dr. 

RFP’s must be received by Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the address below.

Request for Proposal (RFP)
Excavation and Landclearing Work

Project Overview
The Carthage R9 School District is seeking qualified contractors to provide excavation and clearing services on district-owned property at 1090 E. Airport Dr. The scope of work includes clearing trees, brush, and undergrowth; removing fencing; grading for fencing installation; and preserving specified mature trees.

Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for:

1. Southwest Corner Clearing
   • Clear and remove approximately 275 linear feet of trees and undergrowth in the southwest corner of the property.
2. Southern Border Clearing
   • Remove and dispose of barbed wire fencing.
   • Clear and remove undergrowth and vegetation along approximately 415 linear feet of the southern border.
3. Eastern Edge Clearing
   • Clear and remove trees and undergrowth along approximately 320 linear feet of the eastern edge of the property.
   • Preserve and leave in place marked mature trees.
4. Site Preparation for Fencing
   • Scalp topsoil as needed to create a level surface for perimeter fencing.

Requirements

• Contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and disposal necessary to complete the project.
• Work must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Contractor must provide proof of insurance and any applicable licenses.
• All debris, fencing, and materials removed must be hauled off-site and disposed of properly.

Proposal Submission
Interested contractors should submit a written proposal including:

• Company information and qualifications.
• Proof of Business License
• Proof of Liability
• Proposed timeline for completion.
• Total cost estimate (itemized if possible).
• References from similar projects.

Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of:

• Cost competitiveness.
• Relevant experience and qualifications.
• Ability to meet project requirements and timeline.

Now Accepting Bids for Food Service

The Carthage R-9 School District Food Service Department will release the Request for Proposals (RFP) for milk, bread, food and supplies on Monday, June 9, 2025.

RPF packets must be received at the Welcome Center, 710 Lyon Street, Carthage, MO by 1:00 pm,

June 9, 2025.
