The Tiger Family is ready to welcome students to the 2022-2023 school year on Monday, August 22, 2022. This day will be the official opening of school for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in the Carthage R-9 School District.

Buses will operate following their normal schedules on the first day of school. Anyone seeking information about transporatation services may contact the Transportation Department at 417-359-7014.

The District is participating in the Seamless Summer Feeding Program. All students will receive free meals. However, students must pay for milk, extra food, and a la carte items. This can be done online through SchoolCafé or by sending cash or check with your students to turn in prior to the start of the school day.

A new free or reduced-price meal application must be completed each year after July 1. You can apply through SchoolCafé, or a new form will be provided the first week of school. The District receives federal and state funding based on the number of free and reduced students. Completing the form is critical for District finances and maintaining District programs.
