The annual Helen S. Boylan Art & Writing Contest is made possible with funds generously donated by the Helen S. Boylan Foundation. The contest is held each spring and is open to Carthage High School students in grades 9-12. There are seven divisions with First, Second and Third place prizes awarded in each division. The First Place winners receive $500; the Second Place winners receive $300, and the Third Place winners receive $200, resulting in a total of $7,000 in prize money being distributed.

The 2010 deadline for entry is March 26. Interested students can pick up an information sheet in the CHS Counselor's office.
